WesCom ownership transfers to Sun Capital Partners
17/05/2020
COVID-19 has created a challenging time for everyone personally and for businesses everywhere around the world.
As a global supplier of critical safety products, WesCom has managed to rapidly create a safe way of working for all its employees and keep supplies flowing across all territories that remain open.
It is with thanks to all our employees, suppliers, distributors, partners and customers that we have ensured everyone can stay compliant with the regulatory requirements that keep seafarers safe.
We will continue to do this and urge every distributor, service provider and user to ensure all products are maintained within the expiry & service dates.
It has also been a very busy time for WesCom as it transitioned from the previous ownership to Sun European Partners, part of U.S.-based Sun Capital Partners, Inc. at the end of February 2020.
Sun Capital is a trusted partner that is recognised for its investment and operational experience in global market-leading businesses.
Everyone at Sun and WesCom is very excited about this new phase of ownership and the opportunity it provides to inject the necessary funds to grow the business going forward.
Brian Stringer has also joined the WesCom team having worked as Industrial Advisor to Sun European Capital during the process and is pleased to be part of the winning team.
For more than 30 years he has been a Board Director of a few global business in FMCG, Power Generation, Aerospace, Defence and Marine markets, and this experience will help guide the Executive team at WesCom in the future.
