Training animations ideal during social distancing

17/05/2020

WesCom Signal & Rescue product safety animations are expanding their influence and are ideal to use during the current social distancing measures around the word.

In addition, we are inviting you to help promote these valuable training aids, so they can benefit even more companies and organisations.

The animations are created to assist maritime training establishments with classroom training and web-based courses.

They can also be included within ships’ digital training manuals on board and offer a highly effective method of teaching compared to traditional pictorial training manuals.

Among notable bodies using our training animations is the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence, the Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Institution (KNRM).

The animations can also be accessed by all the Royal National Lifeboat Institution’s (RNLI’s) 6,000+ volunteer crews as part of their initial and ongoing training.

Allen Stevens, Senior Engineer (Maritime Safety) for the RNLI says, “Developed with real world experience, WesCom’s innovative animations have become invaluable for our training programmes. Our crew training continues to improve with the use of these assets – largely due to their realism and detailed explanations. By working so closely with WesCom, we have been able to provide live feedback and analysis, which has resulted in the development of these animations and them being subsequently integrated into our training programmes.”

Chris Feibusch says, “Our training animations are growing in popularity and have been promoted at leading marine safety events, which has helped raise their profile. We have now established a programme of identifying and contacting maritime crew training establishments to make them aware of the animations, so that they can incorporate them into their online (digital) learning platforms and their classrooms, when appropriate.

“We hope that our distributors will do the same in their own regions and to be really proactive in promoting these valuable training aids.”
