A missing rented boat and four occupants were found on Lake Erie by a Canadian Coast Guard helicopter after it spotted a flare.

The 16-foot bow rider boat failed to return to Turkey Point on time one day in April and police called.

Coast guard rescue boat teams searched and a helicopter crew from Trenton spotted a flare signal. The boat was located and towed back to shore.
