Making the sea a safe place is the mission this year of Wescom distributor Gandara in Chile.
Maritime Safety specialist Gandara, which has been a Comet Marine distributor for more than 30 years, attended the AquaSur exhibition in early March with the support of Wescom. Gandara showcased Comet Marine products at the show.
María Luisa Irles, General Manager of Gandara, says, “We have attended AquaSur on six occasions. This exhibition is very important for us, because is the most important aquaculture fair in the southern hemisphere. As usual, in our booth, we highlighted our principal brands, including samples and videos as support. Comet is one of them!”
The main benefits of exhibiting at AquaSur are to be able to meet Gandara’s most important clients and stakeholders, show our new products and keep the brand profile high as a maritime security supplier.
Wescom products are an important focus for Gandara. “Wescom, mostly Comet, is one of our principal brands, with more than 30 years of business relationship. Pyrotechnics products are essential for maritime safety, the quality and prestige of Comet and Pains Wessex are very important for our clients.
“Both brands have the best reputation, they are leaders in the pyrotechnics market for the maritime industry in general,” explains María Luisa Irles.
Maintaining good communication and receiving support from Wescom have been vital.
“Since the beginning, we have received the best support from Wescom, with fluent and quick communication, marketing support, good prices policy, and more.
“Is very important for us to have a good relationship with our suppliers, so we can keep growing in the pyrotechnics market, having better benefits for both sides.
“Our commitment to our customers is manifested in the excellent quality and certification of our wide range of maritime safety products to protect life and business at sea.”
The marine pyro market in Chile has been stable for the last few years, with few changes in the requirements from its maritime authority. “It is a very regulated market, which is very important to give more security in the commercialization process.”
