Flare aids rescue at Loch Lomond

A person has been rescued on Loch Lomond, Scotland, after getting into difficulty and firing a flare.
The vessel lost its keel and sails in heavy swells one morning in August, according to the Loch Lomond Rescue Boat Facebook page.
The flare was seen near Carrick golf course and Loch Lomond Rescue Boat’s crew was paged to help.
The crew quickly located the vessel and recovered one person from the water.
With help from a helicopter and shore-based crew from HM Coastguard, the person was brought safely ashore.
The rescue boat team thanked all emergency services involved.
