Disabled cruiser towed after firing orange flare

A disabled motor cruiser in Scotland was towed to safety by the RNLI after an orange smoke flare was fired.
The UK Coastguard asked Largs Lifeboat to come to the aid of the cruiser in the Largs Channel, around half a nautical mile from the RNLI station one afternoon in July.
When the RNLI crew arrived, it found the CalMac ferry was standing by the cruiser. It had one person on board.
The boat, which had lost power, was towed to Largs Yacht Haven by the lifeboat crew.
