David Duffin – an introduction to our new VP Marine Sales

I am honoured to join the Wescom Group business at the beginning of February as VP Marine Sales, writes David Duffin.

I have been in the marine business since leaving university and have worked since 2010 in the world of marine safety with initially McMurdo for four years and latterly with Crewsaver/Survitec for the last eight years.

At the start, I have the advantage of understanding the marine market, our customers’ expectations and I already know many of our marine distributors.

I have been involved for years in launching new products into the market and growing distribution channels and very much look forward to growing the marine business.

On a personal note, I am married to a great woman whom I have known since I was 16 (although she ignored me until I “grew up” and was 26) and have two young adults of 22 and 19 who are currently studying at university.

We live in the New Forest and my wife has a local old people’s care home which she has run for the last 24 years.

I have a packed itinerary of customer visits and site visits around the world coming up over the next few months so look forward to meeting you all at some point.
