Three anglers on a cruiser taking on water off Tathra, New South Wales, Australia, were saved by Marine Rescue Merimbula.
The volunteer crew on board Merimbula 31 was returning to base after completing a rescue half a kilometre off Merimbula’s Middle Beach.
The 36-foot flybridge cruiser, which had flares ready to activate, if required, suffered mechanical failure. The skipper was supplied with a pump to help remove excess water.
Merimbula 31 shadowed the distressed vessel until they were met by volunteers from Marine Rescue Bermagui on board Bermagui 30.
