Wescom Group mine-clearing equipment to be used in Ukraine war

Wescom Group portable mine-clearing equipment is to be used by Ukraine in its war with Russia.
The refurbished Wescom Defence Heavy, Light and Training systems will be used to clear corridors through minefields to help reach and repair critical electricity infrastructure.
Wescom Defence H-POMBS provides effective means to safely eliminate mines, booby traps, unexploded ordnance and man-made obstacles so safe passage can be created. Their portability and simple operation make the H-POMBS an appropriate tactical solution to major battlefield threats.
Wescom Defence initially sold the mine-clearing equipment to Norway Ministry of Defence and it was recently refurbished. Norway MOD donated the units to Ukraine and Wescom Defence helped write a justification paper for the handover.
The announcement of the handover was made by Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere while on a visit to Kyiv.
