USCG rescue capsized boat crew after flares are fired

USCG (United States Coast Guards) rescued three people who fired flares after their boat capsized on Lake Michigan.
The rescue took place one evening in June 2020 near Two Rivers, Wisconsin.
Coast Guard Sector Lake Michigan received reports that a vessel was taking on water around two miles east of the town.
Station Sheboygan was asked to send a 45-foot response boat – medium crew, while Air Facility Muskegon launched a MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew.
The three individuals in the 16-foot partially submerged vessel were within cell phone range and called for help. They also set off flares, which helped the crew to locate them.
Station Sheboygan recovered all three persons from the water, righted their capsized vessel and also towed it to Two Rivers. All of those rescued were wearing life jackets. No injuries were reported.
