Role:

It is an exciting time to join sMRT, as we continue to grow and introduce new products to the market.

We are looking for a Production and Service Technician to join our Manufacturing team in Anlaby, Hull. You’ll be responsible for the assembly, servicing, maintenance and testing of products across the sMRT PLB and sMRT Lifejacket ranges, ensuring products meet our quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble electronic systems and components to the required standards.
• Use soldering equipment to create accurate and reliable electronic connections.
• Test electronic products and identify and resolve faults.
• Inspect components and finished products to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Carry out servicing, maintenance and testing of MRT and sMRT lifejacket products.
• Complete regular checks and maintenance of safety equipment.
• Ensure products meet relevant industry and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and follow company procedures and quality standards.

Skills & Experience:

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Soldering experience is desirable.
• Electrical or electronics experience is desirable.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Reliable and consistent approach to work.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and email, are desirable.

Qualifications & Attributes:

• Previous technical, manufacturing or assembly experience is desirable but not essential.
• A practical and hands-on approach to work.
• Strong focus on quality, accuracy and safety.
• Proactive and willing to learn new skills.
• Reliable, organised and able to manage time effectively.
• Good team player with the ability to work independently.
